Benefits to being an actuary?

I am a high school junior doing a research report on being an actuary. I have been looking around on this site and beanactuary.com and have found a lot of info.

Unfotunately, I have not been able to find anything that that tells me about the benefits and perks that come with being an actuary. Could anyone clue me in?
