From what I recall isn't that just temporary though? As in, the moment you pay it off the credit score recovers? Unlike, say, late payments or credit pulls for new cards.

I've only ever had a high deductible plan. It always seems cheaper to me plus I use my hsa as a tax favorable investment vehicle. I don't have many medical expenses though.
