Jedi Fallen Order on PS4, XBOX ONE, or PC. I believe it is included in the EA Origin Premier Access thing, so you can pay for one month and play the game, then cancel after one month to save money.

I ended up putting into 90 hours into the main game + the Frozen Wilds DLC, got most of the trophies and enjoyed the ride. The end of the story definitely implies there’s more for Alloy to discover and do. Looking forward to the sequel on PS5.

Gears Tactics is a lot of fun. Got it on XB game pass. Pretty much xcom in the gears universe, but I think they made some changes it make it fit better with gears and make the gameplay more fun.

Seems like they added a lot more ways to heal, take extra actions, etc to allow a lot more control during the game. Ends up allowing you to be far more aggressive than in the xcom games.

Still has most of the xcom type draw backs. Certain ability paths are way more powerful than others so all your snipers end up being the same. Also not much of a reason to use more than ~8 of the good characters while having a roster of 20 that don't get used. Generic gears type story too.

I am not particularly speedy at picking up new consoles. I tend to wait until there's a game that I really want that isn't available on my existing console. I didn't get a PS4 until Dragon Age Inquisition DLCs came out, and they weren't available on PS3. I give it good odds that HZD's sequel will get me to buy a PS5.

I pulled out my old PS3 and dusted it off so I can play Tomb Raider Anniversary, Legend, and Underworld.

I just hooked up my PS3, so I could replay Captain America: Super Soldier. Played it on 360 when it was new, want that Platinum! After that, X-Men Origins: Wolverine! These are my new treadmill games.

So, I think FF7 is mediocre. The story is meh, the game play is ok, etc. It was a decent FF game, but I never got the hype (like, I enjoyed FF1 more than FF7). But HOLY COW, FF7 Remake is soooooooooo good. The combat is great, and the story is really interesting and deep so far. I'm only on chapter 4.

I still don't care for Cloud though, and wish I could always be controlling a different character in my party. It's weird when I'm Tifa in the fight, then all of a sudden I'm Cloud when it ends.

I finished Horizon Zero Dawn yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Of the slightly aged games already purchased, which should be next?
Fallout 4
Battlefield 1
Monster Hunter World

Depends what you want. Fallout 4 is another big, open world game, but not as good as HZD. Battlefield 1 is a reasonable length game. I'm not convinced that MHW has an end.
