I lost to Notus/jeffc31. I like my chances against tospeke but that game could take a while to finish.

Sorry I havenít posted in a while...

I beat Cynical Realist https://www.chess.com/daily/game/235022846
I saw he posted, an unfortunate time out. I was comfortable with how I emerged from the opening, and thought the position was about level.

I beat jeffc31/Notus https://www.chess.com/daily/game/235025106

I defeated abstract actuary https://www.chess.com/daily/game/235031022
Interesting game - he spotted a tactic I missed and won a piece, but I had definite compensation in a kingside attack and was able to turn it around.

I defeated devilrox https://www.chess.com/daily/game/235049908
He had a slight edge in the late middlegame but I was able to take advantage of some tactics based on my dynamic imbalance of his king being a bit vulnerable.

My other two games are in progress. Minnesotah https://www.chess.com/daily/game/235052264 and JimF https://www.chess.com/daily/game/235836370

Qa5 though I noticed a nice tactic for you (42... Qa5? 43. e6! Rxe6 44. Qb8+ Rf8 45. Qb7 Rf7 46. Qc8+ winning the rook). Ugh. My failed plan to reroute my queen in a closed position cost me about three tempi, and it was basically over at that point. Nice technique at the end to finish off the attack, too!
Thanks. Good game! Pretty sure that is my first win against you after many attempts. Didn't feel like one of our normal games, that involves sharp attacks. This was more closed, and I felt like I developed a strong pawn structure that I slowly worked until it was too much. The computer isn't quite as impressed. I did think it was going to all come crashing down when you were undermining the chain and thought I was in trouble after 39 ... b4, but felt much better when you played 39 ... cxd4.

Ugh. Felt like I could have had a win here, but I couldn't keep it all together against the pressure.

Minnesotah beat CR after 85 moves. I passed up the draw to see if I could force thru a passed pawn, and eventually was unsuccessful, which gave Minnesotah a big advantage.

Minnesotah and I drew our game. The chess.com quick analysis had me at a +2 advantage at one point but my opponent did a great job managing the complications and creating counterplay. https://www.chess.com/daily/game/235052264

I lost to Tospeke. Interesting game where I had an advantage but fell into an endgame trap.

Yes, I was fortunate to win. Jim outplayed me and in the endgame we both had two rooks but he had 5 pawns to my 3, a clear advantage. However, I found a pawn sacrifice that led to his king getting trapped on the side, and he had to sacrifice his took to avoid a mate in 5. At that point we had an interesting imbalance of 2 rooks and 1 pawn for me and 1 rook and 4 pawns for him, which I was able to win. https://www.chess.com/daily/game/235836370
