If this was true, then this post would not have been ignored by the moderators.

Did you miss the bit about moderators not reading most posts?

I would have edited or deleted that post had I noticed it when it was still "fresh". I may still go back and do so. That's a fine example of an inappropriate way to express your opinions. Not an extreme case, as it's clear that it's really the post he is calling moronic, even if his grammar says it's the person. And he used the relatively mild AO "moran". Without the later "retard" it might even be borderline okay. Still, not what we want to promote.

No, I didn't miss that part. But my point still stands. If what Moderator37 says is true, then that post would not have been ignored by the moderators.

Okay, I don't know if you reported it. But unless it was reported, there's a very low chance that any of the mods even knew that post existed.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it was reported.
I'm also going to go out on a limb and say the new rule about 'moran' being against the rules is going to cause a lot of reported posts.
I'm also going to go out on a limb and say the new rule (PM from mod to me) about posts (well, actually avatars but I assume it covers posts) being work-appropriate is going to cause a lot of reported posts.
Just a hunch.

I can certainly undersanding putting a lid on insulting people. But since the new rules include 'work appropriate' behavior, I don't think insulting others' ideas should be allowed either. Would you tell a coworker their idea on how to adjust for some reserve factor was moronic? Probably not.

no, but I'd politely disagree with his choice, and offer a solution
