Yuck. After my 3.06 pick I had a list of 6 SPs and figured at least 1 would make it to 4.05. And none did.

If Cruz had an OF or 1B next to his name he would have been taken 20 picks ago, no?

It's funny....I didn't even have him on my ranking list, because I sort by position and didn't do "Util".

Eventually age has to catch up with him, right?

I avoided him because of age, I've clogged up my Util spot with guys like that for years... but in hindsight he would have been safer than Stanton

I think the fact that hes 40 might have something to with his slip also. But I almost took him instead of Osuna.

I'm ok with age catching up with him in 2021...

age 33 - 40 HR .859 OPS
age 34 - 44 HR .936 OPS
age 35 - 43 HR .915 OPS
age 36 - 39 HR .924 OPS
age 37 - 37 HR .850 OPS
age 38 - 41 HR 1.031 OPS

His last 6 years have been pretty damn consistent.

Alternate universe where I kept him at 2.20 instead of throwing him back...

I have Cruz instead of an injured Stanton
I was able to trade my 10th round pick to someone else instead of using it to move up an eventual 0 picks in round 2
I had no live picks until the 6th round

Whatever, draft last year was disastrous and turned out okay
