Extra playoff game for extra money seems to be what all this is about.

Kind of against this...but I guess it's not terrible. Gives a pretty big extra benefit being the top team in a conference (only ones getting a bye) and I guess guarantees 10 wins make the playoffs and letting some 8/9 win teams get a chance.

6 wild card games seems like a pretty cluttered weekend though.

Letting in division winners at 8-8 when there is a 10-6 non division winner. There were five 10-6 teams out of the playoffs and four would have gotten in under the new system.

Also would have let in six 8-8 teams but the is more parity in the NFL than the NBA...

I have a bigger issue with the 17 game season but I am sure it will work itself out.

That's three a day. 12:30, 4:00, 7:30. Easy.

Speaking of...would each team play a neutral site game (i.e. London, Mexico City, etc...) under that format?

Not sure how else to handle the home/away game balances within a single season.

The NFL floated this idea last year and the idea was neutral sites. I would guess they would also do regional sites. So the Browns play in Cincinnati and the Saints in Baton Rouge or whatever.

Same here. Minus I am pretty sure the union will veto this.
