I bet it does...if you saw my details in the "high score" thread, I left one open early in the two games following the clean game...and had a mark in all other frames (although in the last game the 10th was strike, 9, miss - it still had a mark)

so I was only 2 frames away from a clean series...I think I can get there...maybe not every time, but I have a feeling that within a month or so I'll see a 600 series, and not too long after that, a clean series

Here are a few other things to shoot for:

250 game
700 series
hit the head pin in all 10 frames
hit the pocket in all 10 frames
make the easy splits - 3-10, 3-7-10, 2-10
make the hard splits - 5-7, 5-10, 4-9
make the impossible splits - 4-6, 8-10, 7-10
throw a double in the 10th frame to win a match
high average for a league

cool, many of those will take considerable time...and should keep me busy for a while

except for the impossible splits, the rest of these seem more likely than a clean series. wait a minute, the actuary part kicked in. if an individual frame is clean 90% of the time, then 30 in a row is a 4% chance. even if they're not really independent, it's still pretty likely. i don't remember a clean series, but i don't remember looking for it, either.

i know i made the 4-6 and 8-10, don't think I made the 7-9 (which doesn't happen so often), know i never made the 7-10

good luck

I've made 4-6, and 8-10...I don't think I've left a 7-10 yet
most of the easy splits I get all the time, the hard ones I've made, but not always

I think the 250 game is a good single game goal. I need to hit the 600 series goal before I hit the 700 series (although I guess it's possible to get the 700 first, although unlikely).

I'm not the anchor on our team, so my double may or may not be directly attributable to winning the match...

with a guy averaging 240+ in our league, I don't think I'll be anywhere near that this league...maybe a league or two (or ten) down the road

i.e. all the time through the end of August

and how many of those no's are because you haven't made a shot at them (i.e. you don't leave those splits)

LOL, wish didn't leave splits.

They are almost impossible to make those, unless you get real lucky. Did make the 4-6-7-10 once in a tournament, but thats about as crazy of a split that ever have made.

Did make the 3-7 Tuesday nite in my sport shot league, that was a good one

I should clarify this a little. I think a 600 series in a month or two is very doable, but first, I need to do what I did last night in the league, and it's a matter of consistency. We'll see how I bowl next time and see if the adjustments have stuck...

a clean series, the more I think about it is a stretch. And if it happens, it might be more of a fluke than anything. I think though, that if I can bowl like I did last night, and strike or leave very makeable spares, it could be possible (however unlikely it may be).
