I actually made it by going at the 6-9-10, but I wasn't trying to make it at the time. I was just going for count. I do think the better chances are going for the 4 since it's easier to slide it into the 9 and get it bouncing around.

finally took some time off, let my body rest from bowling (I had been bowling two or three nights a week)...
and last night it paid off. I finally put together some good games (for me) in the league play and not just my practice bowling on other nights.

previously, through 15 games I had bowled 2258 pins (average of about 150.5) and my high game was only 172 and my high series was only 469...awful, I know

well, last night I bowled a 177, 165, 191 for a 533 series and setting new highs for me in league play. Overall, it raised my average up to 155.05. If I continue like that, then I can reach my goal of being a 165 average at the end of league play (a moderate increase goal for my first league)

Keep at it! Its all about consistency.

One more week in my sport shot league, and then will take off for the rest of summer. Its taught cohete a whole lof of different ways to get to the pocket, not always playing your "A" game.

If you don't hit your 1-1.5 boards of area, you pay for it. And although frustrating at times, that is what you need to do in order to be able to score at state and nationals.

The game is improving, and each time that bowl figure out something that need to work on.

Its a great game, good luck, and cohete will give ya advice as best as possible. Git er done.

Your 3rd game was much better than your first 2. Not only in score, but in shot consistency. towards the end, you were consistently getting your ball on the right side and into the pocket.

This thread finally got me to venture out to the lanes this past Sunday, after what must be a year and a half. Unfortunately, I ran into a WBA tournament, so it will have to wait at least another week.

Ended up hitting a bucket of golf balls instead. I get more hook with the small white ball than the big caramel, unfortunately.

rawl, told us that if we all got strikes the rest of the way, then we would win (this was in like the 4th or 5th frame of game 3).

I promptly bowled a turkey, spare, strike and then I can't recall

Don't drink and bowl.

I'll repost my question about clean games in here as well as in the 'high score' thread...

Clean frames 1-9, and a spare and a 9 in the 10th...clean game, or no? I would think no, but wanted to check. If not, then I came up one pin short of my first clean game...and on the last toss no less
went Friday after work before heading home and tossed a few games.
again, not league play, not fighting other people's lines, but I bowled well, except for one game
181, 136, 219, 180

the 219 is my new high score, and it was my second ever clean game. I was happy with the consistent release.

I'm hoping for another good league showing on Wednesday.
