Got the chance to drill up a UFO and a soon to be released Nuclear Cell.
Didn’t get to throw the UFO yet, but I got to throw the nuclear cell yesterday at lanes I had never bowled at before.

Went 257, 235, 279 for 771 out of the box. I can’t say enough about this ball. It’s a house shot killer. I drilled it 30x3.5”x35

Pins were exploding and the ball felt 12 inches instead of 9.
Followed up my 771 on Sunday with:
202, 248, 258 for 708 subbing on Thursday with my UFO

and

245, 255, 226 for 726 in my regular league with my nuclear cell

Struggled today in my first run at the local association USBC championships.
191, 228, 221 for 640 in team
253, 226, 152 for 631 in doubles
202, 202, 202 for 606 in singles

Note, I threw a 4,6,7 split on my first ball in the tenth game 3, dumped the spare in the gutter on purpose to finish the triplicate

Doing all events next Sunday again, but I’ll be better prepared with some CTD polish on the nuclear cell as a ball down move and start with my Physix. I’ll also likely drill a hustle for a ball down option too.

217-202-259 last night for a nice 678.

Had a sub on our team who averages 230+ on his house lanes. I asked him if he ever considered a pro tour event and he said there isn't enough money in it to be profitable. All you need is a 200 average though, so I might try it one of these days.

Staying hot

I’m taking over a spot on a team Wednesday nights for the last 8 weeks. I had subbed in this league before and had a 210 average for 18 games.

Came in with my UFO and went 268, 279, 196 for 743

One of these days I’ll get my 800

One of my leagues cancelled. The other still hasn’t decided. Same thing with my travel leagues...one cancelled, one hasn’t decided (just delayed for now).

Drilled a Phaze 3 just before the shutdown, never threw it.
I have a Phaze 2, Idol Pearl, Axiom, Pitch Purple and Idol waiting to be drilled. These will be added to my rotation of UFO, Nuclear Cell, Physix, Hyroad and Ice.
Also picked up the Storm Signature Boa shoes and switched my bags over to storm.

Sold my NIB international black widow purple urethane. Sold all but one of my drilled/used balls. Still have 7 more hammer NIBs to sell down the line.

Anyone still planning to go to Reno for nationals?

I’m rebooked first mid September...we have a few spots left on our team since our normal group can’t go. PM me if interested

Drilled my Phaze 2 and Idol pearl during lockdown. Waiting to drill the idol, axiom and pitch purple till after I return to form a bit (want to make sure my PAP hasn’t changed considerably).

Starting a short summer doubles league on 6/30, so we’ll see how that goes.
