Selling a bowling alley in ND for $250,000. Probably a good price for him, it is ND after all.

actually, i thought it was *only* 150k.

Didn't he say he needed 600 at $250 a pop to break even...else he refunds minus $10?

I once shot a triplicate 175 when my average was 175. Can't remember any details, though.

A teammate of mine was very consistent. She was good enough to steer the ball to the center of the lane, but not good enough to make the 3 and 4 pin leaves, so her scores were usually right around 100.

The tournament's format is different from most. The score nearest to a bowler's own average will win, which ensures that someone who regularly bowls 75 could win just as easily as someone who rolls a 250 every time.
Correct me if I am wrong...

Someone who rolls a 250 everytime would win over someone who "regularly" bowls 75....I am thinking the 250 guy would bowl closest to his average.

can I get up and bowl all gutter balls to get an average of 0, then bowl all gutters to win the bowling alley?

any rule prohibiting it?

Default How tight?

How tight should the finger and thumb holes be? I've always heard that you should only have to hold the ball lightly, but I know some guys who have their holes drilled so tight so they don't even have to hold the ball at all to keep it from dropping. Sheesh, seems like you could hurt yourself if the ball doesn't release properly.

Bowling is a heck of a lot of fun. But I stink! 120 average.

Season is done, but bowled a tourney today. OB outside of first arrow, but there was hold area.

Show 207,235,237 for a decent 679.

Next weekend up in Green Bay for Willow Creek Classic.

Finished my season a couple weeks ago. A bit of a drop off after the last two years, but still a decent average at the end of the day. Felt like I was just a little bit "off" most of the year though. Had a few 700s, but no really big series at all.

Wannabe - Glad to see you're keeping up with it. Hope you continue to enjoy it.

Cannonball - I do think it's important to have the holes tight enough that you're not really squeezing hard to hold onto the ball. No way can you keep a free swing doing that. But you're right that it shouldn't be so tight that you can't get your thumb out of it.
