ok, impressive

I was wrong, I've read 9/10 of the Black Company books (I need to reread books 1-3 before reading the new book 4). And Malazan Book of the Fallen is 10 books of 900-1200 pages each. I haven't read any of the next 13 follow up books though, just the main series.

Here's a list of 'longest series of all time' (by word count): https://wottaread.com/the-longest-fa...s-of-all-time/, but I can already tell it's not complete (Death Gate cycle HAS to be longer than Harry Potter).

Malazan, Riftwar, Wheel of Time, Discworld, Xanth, Valdemar, Sword of Truth, Realm of the Elderlings, Saga of Recluce, Outlander, Dresden Files, A Song of Ice and Fire, Crown of Stars, Stormlight Archive, The Dark Tower, Black Company, Harry Potter.

I've read the first 5 Dresden Files books, all published AoSIAF books, Harry Potter. I only read the first Wheel of Time and first Sword of Truth books and gave up on them. I've never read Xanth, Valdemar, Saga of Recluce, Outlander (my wife has), Crown of Stars, Stormlight Archive, Dark Tower.

??

Potter is much longer by page. Death Gate has no book over 500 pages. Potter has 4 over.

Not truly apples to apples but Death Gate is 3/4 of Potter's length.

Just finished Graham Greene's The Ministry of Fear. Really quite good, though depressing as all get out.

Only 21 of them are graphic novels.

I've probably read close to that of a few series. But typically one or two a year, as they are released, not all in one go.

1. Harry Bosch series by Michael Connelly (including Mickey Haller and Rachel Ballard as Bosch is in those too)
2. Lucas Davenport/Virgil Flowers by John Sandford
3. Alex Cross by James Patterson (although I quit reading him about 7 or 8 years ago)

I'd expect Death Gate to be longer on word count; denser pages overall.
