Hoping to pick up a few more soon...

I hadn’t played Splendor before this past week when I played several games. I enjoyed it a lot.

It’s on sale right now for $19 on Amazon which is half price. Also bought the expansion for $32.

If you like Splendor, Century:Spice Road is another good one to try (I actually like it better). Similar in feel, but different enough to make it worth getting as well. It is currently $25 at Amazon, but you can get it for $20 at gamenerdz.com . $5 shipping, but free on orders over $75.

Century is a trilogy of 3 stand alone games (Eastern Wonders and A New World are the other 2. Usually about $29 each) that can be combined with each other to make new games (they have rules for every combination)

Default Through the Ages

I have the online version for my phone and enjoy playing it a lot.

Anyone else here had experience with this game? How do you like it?

Anyone played Unstable Unicorns? Just picked it up for this month's game night. It plays up to 8, which is becoming a must for our game nights.

My wife has played it with some coworkers a few times and said it was fun. Seems interesting, but I haven't had a chance to play yet.

Haven't played the expansions as many times as the main game, but the replayability of the different variations seems on par with Splendor.

this was a spot on prediction...

It's in the same vein as Exploding Kittens (if you couldn't tell by the name). Silly, but not a lot of strategy involved.

People don't come to game night for the thrilling strategic adventures, so I think this will be fine.

If you want a light game for a fun crowd that goes to 8, have you tried Cash 'n Guns? Imagine Reservoir Dogs, the board game. Basically, 8 rounds of Mexican stand-off.
