It's just awkward to ask my question in a thread that focuses on a different topic, but that's just my opinion. But at the same time, I thought of getting a hold of someone so that we can discuss about my question. I have posted my question on the previous message, but here is a link to my question if you want to answer it there instead.

Thanks!

I wore a mask driving, because it's simpler to just put it on at home and take it off when I return. But it's not an N95 mask, just a regular surgical mask. And I know how to fit it well enough that my glasses don't fog up.

Also, thanks for the story, that was funny.

Ditto. In fact, before my employer closed the office, my boss told me that if I feel unsafe taking public transit to work due to the virus, I should feel free to work from home.

Huh, pretty sure (1) that's illegal here and (2) you couldn't find an open shop.

1. I'm not near you.
2. Not going to a shop.

I knew (1). But I thought CA was still shut down, too. (2) makes sense. I cut a friend's hair the first weekend in March. I wouldn't do it now. (Ignoring the shut down, I think I might be infectious) but I'm sure lots of people would.

I hope the person cutting your hair isn't risking their license.

Well, as the article describes, there are two kinds of protection that a mask provides. Protecting the wearer from contracting an illness, so the N95 type masks. And the kind that protects the wearer from getting other people sick. A well made homemade mask does not do the former, but does a pretty good job at the latter. In other words, in order for an individual to be protected when out and about, they either need to be wearing a N95 mask, or everybody else needs to be wearing a good homemade mask.
