(Canadian version) Power point presentation. Case studies. Cookies and juice. Certificate of completion if you can sign your name when the course starts.

Matches up with the U.S. version I attended.

No beer. No networking. No celebratory mood & congratulations.

Personally, I was disappointed with APC. However, having the ASA is awesome.

Breakfast. Case studies. Snacks. Case studies. Lunch. Cheesy videos from the 70s/80s. Done.

All in all the actual course itself is about 6 hours. Extremely worthless. If you think the APC has good snacks and food, wait until you go to the FAC. They feed you 8 times a day, it's ridiculous.

somebody fell asleep in my APC - I mean totally asleep in the afternoon and both instructors noticed- I checked and this person was on the same ASA list as me - so the bar to pass the APC is somewhere below being awake

Do you guys get to watch part of Billion Dollar Bubble in SOA? In the CAS equivalent, we watched like half an hour of it. Hilarious.

You young'uns have it easy at the APC nowadays. When I took it, they gathered us in a room with an altar of stone, with ceremonial fires on each side. They picked three of us at random. We swore a blood oath to the SOA, and then they sacrificed all three, and made us eat the entrails. Now THAT'S how you teach professionalism, dadgummit! Not like they do today, nosiree.....
