I did the first pass myself too.

1) Didn't know how to do by my ears
2) Couldn't figure out how to do the harder to reach parts of the back of my head
3) Couldn't figure out how to go in a straight line as my wife kept on saying that I am only cutting patches of hair

In the end she took the clippers and buzzed my hair. I would really like to do it myself in the future. Any suggestions? Buzzers are really hard to hold...

same here. my kid likes the idea of cutting hair. I might let her buzz it up

Pretty much. I can cut my own nails, and I rarely do anything with them anyway, because I have flimsy sucky nails. My hair was in need of trim before we went on lock down, now I just look scraggly as hell... but that's why god invented hair-tiers. I am pretty sure I'll be rocking a ponytail until the world is back up and running again.

My haircut scissors arrived from Amazon today. I have warned the kids that in a few weeks Dad will be cutting their hair, which is not sitting well with them.

I am thinking of shaving my head bald. I've always wanted to do this at some point in my life just to see what it looks/feels like. Now would be the perfect time.
