Have you considered a french poodle cut then?

I get #2 on the sides and back, which is still quite short!!! Better take it easy!!

I'd do 2 or 3 on top for a first buzz. Some people have weirdly shaped heads and don't even realize it until their hair is cut short enough. If you've never seen yourself bald before it takes more effort (er, time) to grow it back than it does to cut it shorter the next time.

I colored the gray once. it was expensive and I hated the results. the color was completely uniform brown. I never realized just how odd a completely uniform color would look to me. I like my brown hair including my natural brown highlights, hate the gray though, but for now i'm living with the gray rather than cover it because I don't want to lose my natural brown too.

ya, you can get highlights, but that still look fake and bad to me. also, you have to use bleach for highlights and that makes the hair look all dried out and bad. nothing looks good on me other than my natural brown color.

It's a lot easier to do someone else's hair than your own. Ask your wife to do it. It's pretty easy to do someone else's. I used to do my son's hair when he lived with us.

I toyed with that. But it's a lot of work for no one to see it.
