No, it's actually gotten so long that it's starting to cause her problems, and I've just waited far too long to take her in because it's been so cold here, and now I'm scared to take her in at all.

They make it look so easy through the windows at the Petsmart grooming station. At any rate, I don't think I HURT her, as much as just pissed her off, and I think I removed enough fur that I shouldn't have to give her another VERY gross bath like the one she just got.

Day two of trying to barber the dog. Today is going much "better," in the sense that I have lowered my expectations so far it would be difficult not to meet them (basically if I don't get mauled today, I get to call it a win).

I've eschewed the clippers as being worse than worthless. I'm just doing scissors now. She seems to like it, actually, because she'll come up and stand in front of me, tail wagging like she wants something, and when I grab the scissors and start clipping, she just keeps standing there, she doesn't try to get away or anything. Probably just likes the attention.

I figure I'll just keep the scissors here by my desk, and every time she comes up for attention I'll trim a little more here, a little more there. By the time the apocalypse is over, she might end up having got a full haircut, more or less.

My facial hair is very hit or miss, mostly miss - but what little I do have I will let grow out for more than a week for the first time in my entire life. It will probably look ridiculous, but best to do it now while nobody else has to see it.

I usually get a 2 on the top, 1 on the sides. In the summers I go 1 all round. I've always wanted to go 0, maybe next week (will consult with wife on that one) ETA: wife says no thx, you're 48 with barely any grey hair, why bother?
