49ers have enough SBs. Way more than their fair weather fans deserve.

KC fans are long due. They've been through many levels of hell and back.

Not until we have more than the Steelers or Patriots. Better yet, more than the Steelers and the Patriots.

Is there any evidence that they're fair weather? I've been to SF only a couple times but seemed liked people were jazzed for games, despite the team being mediocre when I was there.

I am cheering for Reid and Mahomes, so not disagreeing with your preferences.

The past few years, when they sucked, the stadium was half-full. Official records say "sold out."

However, I'm not a big fan of the "I'm a better fan because I support my team through thick and thin," and, "Your team doesn't deserve to win, because fair weather fans" mentality. I get it, knuckle-draggers dig that shit. And football would be nothing without the knuckle-draggers.

No option for thinking the 9ers win, but I have no horse in the race...

The Chiefs simply cannot run the ball effectively. I expect Reid to break out screens and quick hitting throws to try to protect his offensive line. If that doesn't work I'm not sure they have much of a fallback beyond Mahomes scrambling a bunch.

The 49ers played 5 games in the regular against teams that ended with 10 or more wins and were 3-2 with both losses being last play losses.
Mahomes was sacked 17 times. Jimmy G 36. Not sure itís the KC o-line to be worried about.

And note that many of those Mahomes sacks came late in the game when they're ahead and would rather lose the yards and keep the clock running than "risk" a throw being intercepted or not caught.

Interesting article on the only medical graduate currently playing in the NFL:

https://www.theglobeandmail.com/spor...rney-to-super/

Smart guy like him might follow John Urschel’s lead and retire after his current contract ends?

I grew up in the Bay area back before the niners were good (pre Montana/rice) and I rooted for them when they won 2 or 3 games every year. Once they got good and made the Superbowl the bandwagon filled up with "fans" and I stopped rooting for them. I think the fanbase has been pretty solid since then though so I hope they can get it done this year.
