If the intern has a spare moment and it's not otherwise prohibitively late, I may as well use my one COFP (well, rather more a COPP, Ig) to choose the Colts, rather than the Jags, this week, please.

The intern is away on diversity training but intends to note this change before final results are released.

You know, I like to think that I’m a pretty progressive-minded fellow, and so I would hate to be responsible for the intern’s having to come back early and thus missing out on opportunities for personal growth and allyship; it just wouldn’t sit right with me, morally speaking. So if he feels the need to stay and absorb fully and globally the lessons of the training and thus doesn’t have the chance to note that particular change, I will understand; indeed, he should prolly just go ahead and do exactly that. Yup, that sounds like the enlightened course of action.

So according to my records...

Actual: 153-102-1 59.96%
Hypothetical: 155-97-4 61.33%

Hypothetical is if I would’ve stuck with the default award. I would’ve won week 9, taken the JHFA on week 10, bungled the extra COFP but partially salvaged it to a tie that week, plus picked up some wins & ties due to the two weeks of JHFA.

Oh well! Thanks 1691854 for running the game again. See y’all next year!

They were just about to do trust falls when the delivery of kale smoothies arrived. Since the intern is allergic to cabbage it was deemed time to take a step back and ponder everything learned at the session. Knowing that the FSP hangs in the balance the intern was dismissed and urgently returned to the office to acknowledge the COFP award pronouncement.

...but thank you for your overwhelming concern for the intern's professional development.

Congratulations to redearedslider for winning the Week 17 award, Last Week Winner: The winner of week 17 automatically has a week 17 loss turned into a tie. redearedredslider's Browns over Bengals pick was turned into a tie, thus improving his weekly 12-4 record to 12-3-1.

Finally, an additional award or two:

Pat on the Back™ award:
Way to go, Funemployed. You wisely chose to use your You're Gonna' Like the Pick You Made...I Guarantee It award to guarantee your Giants over Eagles pick. You picked up an extra win! Nice job!

Way to go, silentassassin. You wisely chose to convert your Choose Your Own Adventure Award into a Jables' Home Field Advantage award and applied it to week 17. You originally picked the Raiders over the Broncos. The Raiders were the away team and lost by 1. The three extra points added to their score means they were actually a win for you. You picked up an extra win! Nice job!

Way to go, 3rookie. You wisely chose to use your COFP awards to change your Panthers pick to the Saints. You picked up an extra win! Nice job!

Way to go, redearedslider. You wisely chose the most correct picks in week 17. Thus, by virtue of the Last Week Winner award, your Browns pick was turned into a tie. You dropped a loss and picked up a tie! Happy Father's Day & Nice job!

Salt in Your Wounds™ award:
Way to go, Jahiegel. You bungled your COFP award by using it to change your Jaguars pick to the Colts. You picked up an extra loss! Nice job!

pH7 award™:
The pH7 award™ award goes to jesusislord. He used his You're Gonna' Like the Pick You Made...I Guarantee It award to guarantee his Titans over Tenessee pick. They won anyway. Just like a solution with a pH of 7, it's neutral.

The pH7 award™ award also goes to 3rookie. His week 17 record was better than the Consensus picks, so the AStudent's GroupThink did him no good. Just like a solution with a pH of 7, it's neutral.

Finally, the moment you've all been waiting for...without further adieu nor ado nor achoo...here are the final overall standings:

Congratulations to Funemployed -- winning the 2019 Jet Setter NFL Full Season Pick'em Contest-Patience Finally Pays Off contest and earning an extra star next to your name in the FSP Hall of Fame. You are now only the second player to have won this prestigious contest multiple times!

Funemployed's prize is to be granted the naming rights for the 2020 NFL Full Season Pick'em Contest, "[ ] 2020 [ ] NFL Full Season Pick'em Contest [ ]". (You'll be contacted by my intern shortly before the roll out of the 2020 contest for your decision on how to use this most valuable award.)

Thanks to everybody for participating, your great sportsmanship, double-checking results, & putting up with my intern. I hope it was an enjoyable experience & to see you for the 2020 game. As before, I expect to open it up for entries shortly after the 2020 schedule is released by the NFL.
