Harry Potter 1,084,170 words
Death Gate 759,850

that gives 260 words/page for HP and 252 for DGC

I donít know what is wrong with me. Picked up another book without reading the summary. Itís by Nora Roberts, for Peteís sake, it should be a bit of an escape!

Year One

Itís about a pandemic.

When will I learn to read those darn summaries?

post 9-11 I had two unread books I was choosing from a Tom Clancy & a Nelson Demille.

I avoided the Clancy as so much is terrorist themed, the Demille starts with the unmanned jet coming into JFK

Finished Plum Island by DeMille. Time to find a new diversion.

For some reason I am glad I am not the only one with this issue. Maybe I would like the terrorist reading better.

I actually like the Nora Roberts so far, just think it's weird that I hyper-focus on this stuff. When I start seeing germs in the air, like I did after The Great Influenza, I will stop.

So this one is really cool. The premise is that people are having false memories show up in their mind at random that are very vivid and seem to be of an alternate timeline of their life. Our protagonists are a NYC detective who is a loner alcoholic 10 years after his 16 year old daughter was killed in a car accident which led to his divorce during the grieving and a neuroscientist working on a way to implant memories back into Alzheimer's patients brains.
