After two really nice raises, the boss has told me 2% is much more than the norm to expect. On the other hand, it sounds likely that I will gain my first direct report in 10 yrs sometime mid-year so we'll see what develops...

I probably wont find out until the end of this month but I'm hoping for at least a 5% increase to comp but will probably get 2-3%

In my merit review discussion today, I brought up that I volunteered to help with a project in another department. The other manager had said he was very grateful. The boss said that was a negative because they didn't go through her to request my help.
