Not often. I will sometimes feel them getting "loose" and will redo the last "tie".

But the issue of not staying knotted is related to the material of the shoe string far more than the knot used.

Very true, though if you use the knot that most people learn as kids, it's gonna come untied frequently. Anywho, I think we're on about the same page.
