Tomorrow marks July 1st, which generally marks when people start thinking about their plans and even getting their materials. How has everyone been doing so far?? BIG changes to the syllabus, but a lot of good readings, I think it has really improved.

I'm always worried that I'll be talking at a conference or something, and if there are any of my former students there, I'll give them flashbacks to studying for these exams. Only you and my wife understand having to listen to me talk sooo much

Please take a minute to visit the PAK Study Manual website to view our free strategy and mathematical review videos to help get you started. Many students find that some of the implicitly assumed knowledge required for this exam (Black-Scholes, derivatives, hypothesis testing, etc.) is a bit fuzzy in their minds. They give you some quick tips, as well as refresh a little bit of the math you might need as you're getting ready to take a Finance exam.

Do the changes to the CFE exam suggest big changes are coming to the SDM exam next sitting?

CFE updates are usually annually for the fall sitting and SDM updates are usually for the Spring sitting, so for sure there will be changes next sitting for SDM, but ...

SDM had an almost wholesale syllabus change last sitting (Spring/19), so it's reasonable to think the changes won't be as large next sitting. But one never knows for sure.

XP premium package SDM pass rate in Spring 2019 was 91.7%!

Using anything less is clearly a very poor strategic decision
