I actually prefer it when a cohort leaves early - makes the rideshare queue more manageable.

It could be that the folks I were talking to were speaking tongue in cheek - if they were serious, I wonder if it's just to keep the networking (my favorite part of the meeting) more valuable. n(n-1)/2 is a lot larger when everyone sticks around.

That's my best hypothesis.

I think it's because they want some great sessions sprinkled evenly throughout the whole conference, so there isn't this perception that only boring sessions get stuck in the last slot.

Also, I saw that y'all discussed the Uber presentation. I was there, and I have had some interactions with the Uber Health folks for my research about the whole trend: Good stuff - I support.
