Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but there's a scene in Hellboy where one character says he used to be an actuary before he got all military-y, and talks about calculated risks etc.

Edward Norton who is cast as the narrator in Fight Club "briefly describes that his job entails the assessment of risk associated with car accidents for an insurance company; though not explicitly stated, he performs the job of an underwriter who uses actuarially derived premiums to benchmark quotes."

Can you name a major motion picture in which an actor portrays a minor character who is a real-life actuary?

In "The Social Network" actor John Hayden plays Howard Winklevoss (father of the twins), who is a real-life pension actuary and owner of a successful software firm.

I thought one of guy in IT chapter 2 is an actuary but later he says he's risk analyst working at insurance company. what a disappointment
