I know 4 of them from prior volunteering and think well of them. two other names I recognize from here or prior work. will be interesting to see if any of the folks I don't know give me reason to not default to what is known and easy.

I know a couple relatively well, a couple tangentially, and the remainder not really. The responses to the questions are up as well: https://www.casact.org/about/leaders...m?fa=responses

Voting opens tomorrow.

Does anyone feel strongly -- pro or anti -- the proposed Bylaws amendment? Briefly explain.

How about the candidates? Which one(s) should I vote for? Explain.

Vote for candidates willing to expand the right to vote to Associates. Alternatively, vote for candidates willing to openly state that Fellows are superior to Associates* [despite their otherwise equivalent ability to sign SAOs] and offer reduced annual dues to Associates because of their relative inferiority.

* provided the Associate has fulfilled the minimum exam requirements per NAIC guidelines

It's funny because the Associates who want to vote to effect this issue, don't have the right to vote.

I'm certainly not a single-issue voter, but this is something I think CAS should address, either through extending voting rights to at least some ACAS (say, after N years - my personal preferred option) or through reduced ACAS dues. If ACAS don't have the same rights of membership they shouldn't have to pay the same dues, should they? Isn't that basically what July 4 is all about? Candidates' responses to this question figure into my voting calculus.

On that note, can anyone help me make sense of Jessica Leong's response to the ACAS voting rights question?
