I wonder if this would eventually be of any value as a credential in cat modeling/analytics department, if i dont have an advanced degree. I notice the GI readings for the ERM exam specifically have 2 readings about Cat Loss Modeling.

Is this credential still going?

Hand on heart, I have never known it to make a positive difference to anyone working, applying for a job, trying to impressive a prospective partner, etc etc.

Oh yes, it is fun to poke colleagues who took it when it was being handed out in the early days.

My impression matches yours. It seems to have gone over like a lead balloon, notwithstanding all the hype.

I don't know if the credential will help with hiring, I'm still at the same employer I had when I got the credential, but I have used the material at work. Of course, anyone interested could learn the material without taking the exams, but I probably wouldn't have focused on those subjects without the impetus of the exam.
