Default Medicaid Underwriting Gain

This site is set up to facilitate discussion on Medicaid Underwriting Gain. As some of you may have seen, Sabrina Gibson, Jaredd Simons, Michelle Raleigh and I presented at the 2019 SOA Health meeting on this topic. In that presentation we alluded to an Excel model that was part of a publication that I coauthored with Sabrina Gibson and Jaredd Simons. The Excel file is attached and it's also posted here:

While the posting on MHPA's website allows you to download and manipulate the model, I wanted to set this site up to allow for others to post edited versions or other original content on the subject. I'm looking forward to the discussion on the topic!

Yes, it is. I plan to edit my original post to give this more of an introduction. I was just testing out the workability of this blog this afternoon, and wasn't expecting it to be seen so quickly!

Interesting stuff - looking forward to the additional explanatory material!
