There is a custom where many Orthodox Jews don't shave or get a haircut for a 7-week period between the 2nd night of Passover (which comes this Thursday) and the holiday of Shavuot, aside from the 33rd day which is marked by a bonfire celebration. I haven't yet observed this custom, but guess this is a fine time to start.

Greenwoman did a pretty good job for her 1st time using the clippers. Went down to a #1 and looks fine.

She wouldn't do my beard (haven't shaved since New Year's Eve). So I took the guard off and did it.

No blood, so we must have done something right.
