Default Repealed HCR items

Are we still responsible for repealed items? For ex: free choice voucher

Thoughts?

I wanted to resurrect this question especially because I've seen it both in the MATE and GRASP materials, Fall 2012 editions. It's under the Employer requirements for Offering Coverage Under Health Care Reform. Since this was a list from the original Kaiser HCR Summary, does that mean we need to remember that employers were originally supposed to offer free-choice vouchers, or should we either a.) exclude this point or b.) mention both the voucher and that it has since been repealed?

Along the same lines, I'm not trying to remember anything about the "CLASS " component other than it has been suspended.

If it's still on the syllabus we're still responsible. I'm surprised MATE seminars hasn't said as much...

Although it's less likely to be on the exam (assuming the question writer is aware it has been repealed, which is NOT a given).

Similar to being responsible for everything ON the syllabus, you're not supposed to be responsible for anything NOT ON the syllabus.

Well now that you've put words in my mouth, I must say ... I concur.

I would add that if anyone on the committee (not just the question writer) knows something is outdated, it makes it less likely to be tested. And on PPACA (the hottest topic for health actuaries these days), I would expect the committee as a whole to be quite up to date.
