If you use STE's example and calculate the [points]x[score on Q] / 10 and sum across the whole exam, you get 54.9.

With the other example, you get 45.5.

So a 54.9 ---> 5 on the exam
and 45.5 ---> 3 on the exam

So if you can do really well on nearly half the questions and at least partial credit on the others, you probably get a 6 or higher. That's some rough analysis though.

When do they usually publish the questions? I'm assuming the solutions don't get published until after results come back

I believe that Mary Pat Campbell has mentioned in the past that you need about half the points to get a 6.

Assuming 60 needed to pass would fit with both those datapoints.
