How's everyone's studying going?

I'm about a quarter of the way through the Fall 2011 MATE manual (first read-through). I'm planning on ordering the new MATE manual as soon as it's released.

I've also started using Anki flashcard software to manage my studying of flashcards on my PC and iPad. So far I highly recommend it, although there's a bit of a learning curve, and typing and importing the flashcards is a pain (and don't ask, I'm not sharing). I'm hoping to learn 10 or so new flashcards a day, while keeping on top of reviewing flashcards I've already studied.

Do you have to type it out using their program? Or can you import jpg, PDF, doc, etc?

I have them typed up in an Excel document. I then formatted and saved the questions and answers as a text file to import into Anki.

I also have it set up to include some tags along with the Q&A (e.g. syllabus reading, which gets displayed in small text below the question prompt; topic; notecard source, to distinguish between MATE originals and custom ones I created).

I also imported images for a few notecards with tables on them.

I'm going to start today on a MATE 2010 manual. My boss doesn't like that we don't know if I passed CSP in April yet. But I really want two attempts at DP before they change the exam system and obviously starting now is important for that.

Planning to read through the chapters that overlap and then buying the Condie manual and seminars. I don't love the idea of using two different manuals but I have heard really good things about Condie.

Well it's been a one year hiatus for me since I started a new job in January, but it's time for me to start back up, too. Hopefully this is my last exam, EVER! Anyone out there studying or is everyone soaking up sun right now?

I plan on doing some studying this weekend. My main goal is going to be to create a detailed study schedule. Where is everyone else at in their study schedule?

I've been off the study train for a few weeks due to work, but am hoping to get back into it.

When I left off I was up to learning objective 4 in my first read-through of MATE. I also finished entering my notecards into study software (sorry, but no sharing) and had been struggling to memorize a few new cards a day.

At this point I'm pretty overwhelmed by how much more I'll have to do between now and Nov 1 to be prepared.

Reviewing the first 200 GRASP cards I've memorized, starting to memorize new material in learning objective 7 next week. Good luck all!

Read through the first 76 pages of the MATE outline. Pretty much where it says to be after the first week in one of the suggested study schedules.

I feel like I've retained nothing at all. It really seems like every page I read is a battle to keep my eyes open.

Is this normal for a first pass through? Should I just try to get through the manual as fast as possible, or work on memorizing the flashcards at the same time as I go along with the manual?
