Why do you think the SOA would provide the syllabus to Eddy or Mary prior to release?

Hasil,

I believe they definitely already have. These guys have to produce the syllabus. And this has to be ready for us to study from asap...so surely they know (as they've also mentioned they were part of some webinar, etc).

Can u guys give us some preview??

Why would they not post the syllabus? Assuming
1) they had it
and
2) they were allowed to by the SOA

I'm guessing a lot of it will be repeated from before, and study guides will be available right away for those readings. For the new readings, they will have to be created from scratch. For example, the APM syllabus had a substantial revision for Spring 2012. Eddy had a phased release with the outlines for new readings coming later.

No one can release the syllabus first before the SOA does - even if they consult with manual writers, it is probably with the understanding that everything is confidential until the SOA finalizes.

Definitely believe? How dogmatic

Moot point now; however, that webinar on exam changes was open to everyone. Mary and Eddy aren't on the syllabus committee, and I believe they are not allowed to be, as it would be a conflict of interest with producing the prep material and seminars. I do know they are not allowed to grade the exams due to their prep courses.

I just upload the AVF + ERM suggested study schedule (for all extensions).

FYI, the PAK Study Manual will offer all the extensions for the ERM exam.

If you have questions on which extension you should choose, please feel free to contact me to discuss the details. Thanks!

Hi HasilAtkins,

Study manual authors and exam committee volunteers get access to a draft syllabus early in order to prepare for the new exam season.

Best,

Xiao-Bo
